Xi Xiang Feng was established in 1988 and is famous for its sesame flatbread and shaved noodles. It is a must-visit spot for the soldiers in Kinmen. With a black-and-white sign and a light blue-green door, the restaurant has a traditional feel. The owner skillfully uses a knife to slice the dough into noodles, expertly dropping each piece into boiling water. The shaved noodles are served from around noon until approximately 7 or 8 PM, with options including beef noodle soup, beef broth noodles, and braised sauce noodles. The thick handmade shaved noodles are pleasantly chewy and have a great broth, making it the most popular noodle shop in the area. In addition to the signature beef shaved noodle soup and shaved noodle dishes, various side dishes are offered, such as kelp, pig ears, and beef tripe. The sesame flatbreads come in both savory and sweet varieties, with the savory filled with minced meat and scallions, and the sweet filled with sugar, all priced at 10 TWD each, available from around noon until sold out.
