Xi Xiang Feng was established in 1988, and the most famous items in the restaurant are the Shao Bing and Dao Xiao Mian (knife-cut noodles). It is a must-visit place for soldiers in Kinmen. The white sign with black letters and the light blue-green door create a nostalgic atmosphere. The owner expertly uses a knife to cut the dough at the right angle to make the noodles, with skilled techniques allowing slices of noodles to enter the boiling water. Dao Xiao Mian is served from late noon until around 7 or 8 PM, with flavors including beef noodle soup, beef broth noodle soup, and zhajiangmian. The thick handmade Dao Xiao Mian is very chewy and has a delicious broth, making it the busiest noodle shop on the street. In addition to the signature beef noodle soup and the Dao Xiao series, various side dishes are also offered, such as kelp, pig's ears, and beef tripe. Shao Bing comes in both savory and sweet flavors, with the savory filled with minced meat and scallions, and the sweet filled with sugar, all at 10 NTD, available from late noon until sold out.
