Xi Xiang Feng Snack Shop Introduction
Established in 1988, Hsiang Hsiang Feng is most famous for its shaobing and knife-cut noodles. It is a must-visit spot for soldiers in Kinmen. With a white background and black letters on the sign and a light blue-green door, the restaurant has a nostalgic charm. The owner skillfully uses a knife to cut the dough to make noodles, dropping each piece into boiling water. The knife-cut noodles are served from around noon until 7 or 8 PM, with flavors including beef noodles, beef soup noodles, and zhajiang noodles. The thick, handmade knife-cut noodles are chewy and well-cooked, making it the busiest noodle shop in the area. In addition to the signature beef knife-cut noodles and other knife-cut series, a variety of side dishes are offered, such as kelp, pig ears, and beef tripe. The shaobing comes in both savory and sweet flavors; the savory variety is filled with minced meat and green onions, while the sweet version is filled with sugar, all priced at 10 NTD, available from noon until sold out.
