Taiwan Flower Tile Ancient House Introduction

In the past century, the Wu family of Wufeng, along with thousands of wealthy merchants and dignitaries, adorned their homes with precious floral tiles to showcase their family's wealth. Taiwan is thus filled with world-class and valuable floral tile culture. However, during urban renewal, skyrocketing land prices have led to the demolition of thousands of old houses with floral tiles. We are a group of floral tile volunteers composed of office workers who have dedicated twenty years and our savings to quietly preserve thousands of century-old floral tiles in Taiwan. We have established a restoration center and are systematically building a complete database on this land, hoping to leave behind valuable visual records for future generations. Not only do we preserve, but we also provide precious floral tiles "free of charge" to continuously support the restoration of old houses in Taiwan. 1.
