Once you arrive at National Cheng Kung University, don't miss the Shandong scallion pancakes at "Victory Breakfast" next to the campus. Unlike typical pancakes that are topped with thinly sliced scallions, Victory's Shandong scallion pancakes are filled with generous amounts of fresh scallions, baked to a crispy finish. With one bite, the fragrant scallion fills your mouth. The owner, Lin Chang-Hsiung, learned this recipe from a friend in Shandong. At just 15 NTD each, these pancakes have comforted many National Cheng Kung University students for decades. Victory Breakfast operates daily from 4 PM to 10 AM the next day. Besides scallion pancakes, the pork egg pancake is also highly recommended, which features traditional egg pancake wrapped with lettuce and a pork patty, making it very tender. Almost everything at Victory Breakfast is delicious.
