Wutai Presbyterian Church Introduction

The Presbyterian Church is the spiritual pillar of the Rukai people, originally established in 1954 by Pastor Lin Zhengguang from the church in Haocha Village, who also preached in Wutai. It is a church that integrates Rukai and Western elements, and is the result of the villagers' collective efforts. During its construction, the villagers used a rotational labor system, applying their individual skills. The church was rebuilt in 2001, taking four years and four months to complete, and was officially finished in 2007. Built primarily with stone, it stands like a castle amidst the mountains, adding to the unique character of the church nestled among the rolling hills.
