WuT'ai Presbyterian Church Introduction

The Presbyterian Church is the spiritual pillar of the Rukai people. It was originally established in 1954 by Pastor Lin Zhengguang from the Haocha Village church, who also preached in Wutai. This church is a blend of Rukai and Western characteristics and is a result of the community's collective efforts. During its construction, villagers worked in rotation, utilizing their individual skills. The church was rebuilt in 2001, taking five years and four months to complete. Finally, in 2007, it was officially finished, using stone as the main building material, resembling a castle standing amidst the mountains, which adds to the uniqueness of the church nestled within the rolling hills.
