Songshan Cihuitang Temple Introduction
"The mountain is not high; it becomes famous if there are immortals; the water is not deep; it becomes spiritual if there are dragons." Situated at the foot of Fushoushan in Taipei City, Songshan Cihui Temple is established by the current abbot, Guo Yezhi, a devoted female practitioner embodying the principles of Taoism and virtue. Upholding the mission of spiritual education, helping others, enlightening practitioners spiritually, and purifying the human heart, the temple embodies the ideals of compassion and self-cultivation. Songshan Cihui Temple is dedicated to the Supreme Jade Pool Saint, Xiwang Jinmu. The environment here is elegant and enchanting, with an impressive aura surrounded by lush mountains, making it a place where saints and immortals gather, while also being a perfect spot for believers to cultivate their minds and spirit. Covering an area of over 10,000 square meters, the temple complex consists of an intricately structured five-story building, towering majestically into the sky, complemented by bell and drum towers on either side, enhancing its grandeur and magnificence. Standing on the balcony of the second-floor main hall, one can overlook the metropolis of Taipei, taking in the cityscape that excites the heart and lingers in the mind. The design of the hall primarily features traditional Chinese architectural styles, integrating artistic elements from the Ming and Qing palatial styles, blending the old and the new, and nestled among the lush pines and cypress trees, revealed with red bricks and yellow tiles, it epitomizes the saying "a dot of red amongst the sea of green," leaving visitors entranced.
