Songshan Cihuitang Introduction
"Mountains are not high, but they become renowned with the presence of immortals; waters are not deep, but they are spiritually significant with the existence of dragons." Located at the foot of Fushou Mountain in Taipei City, Songshan Cihui Temple is presided over by Guo Yezi, a dedicated female lay practitioner who upholds the principles of Daoism, serves the community, and guides believers in spiritual cultivation while purifying hearts. Founded on the compassion to alleviate suffering for oneself and others, the temple enshrines the Supreme Yaochi Saint, Xiwang Jinmu. The environment here is elegant, the divine aura clear, and the ambiance majestic and graceful, surrounded by green mountains. It is truly a sacred realm where saints and Buddhas gather, a place for the devout to cultivate their hearts and spirits, as well as a must-visit scenic destination. The temple covers an area of over 10,000 ping and consists of a meticulously structured five-story building complex. The temple stands tall, reaching the clouds, and is flanked by tower-like bell and drum towers, enhancing its imposing grandeur. Standing on the balcony of the second-floor main hall, one can overlook the metropolitan area of Taipei, with the cityscape in full view, creating an exhilarating and unforgettable experience. The design of the hall is mainly based on traditional Chinese temple architecture, incorporating elements of Ming and Qing palace art, blending old and new styles harmoniously. Surrounded by dark green pines and cypress trees, with red bricks and yellow tiles, it truly resembles a splash of red amidst a sea of green, captivating the heart and spirit.
