Songshan Cihui Temple Introduction
"Mountains do not have to be tall to be famous if there are immortals; waters do not need to be deep to be spiritual if there are dragons." Located at the foothills of Fushoushan in Taipei City, the Songshan Cihuitang is led by the current master Guo Yezi, a devoted female practitioner with exemplary moral conduct. She upholds the teachings of divine principles, helps all beings, enlightens followers' spiritual practices, and purifies human hearts, all rooted in the compassion of alleviating the suffering of others and oneself. The Songshan Cihuitang enshrines the Supreme Jade Pool Holy Mother, Xiwang Jinmu. The environment here is elegant, spiritual essence is radiant, and the atmosphere is grand and majestic, embraced by lush green mountains. It is indeed a place where saints and enlightened beings gather, a sanctuary for practitioners to cultivate their hearts and spirits, as well as a must-visit scenic spot for travelers. Covering an area of approximately ten thousand pings, the temple complex consists of a meticulously structured five-story building. The temple stands tall, reaching towards the skies, accompanied on both sides by bell and drum towers, further enhancing its grandeur and spectacle. Standing on the balcony of the second-floor main hall, one can overlook the urban landscape of Taipei, capturing the city's sights all at once, leaving visitors exhilarated and reluctant to leave. The architectural design of the hall draws on traditional Chinese temple styles, incorporating characteristics of Ming and Qing palace art, blending the old and the new, exuding an antique charm, and beautifully set against the backdrop of towering pines and cypress. With red bricks and yellow tiles, it truly embodies the saying "a single red among thousands of greens," captivating the hearts and minds of all who visit.
