To bring visitors closer to the Dapeng Bay area, the Dapeng Bay Management Office has utilized the conditions of the Dapeng Bay lagoon to create a 200-meter-long artificial beach at the sailing base. The fine sand comes from the bay's estuary and, together with the unique natural environment of Dapeng Bay that features wind but little wave action, it has become a favorite among local sailing enthusiasts. Each year, from April to June, Dapeng Bay hosts a series of sailing events that combine sports and tourism, actively promoting water activities in Taiwan and establishing itself as a representative sailing base in the country. Dapeng Bay is the best place to experience sailing, and an increasing number of tourists are discovering the opportunity to sail here. To cool off in the scorching heat by the sea, a sailing café has also been set up beside the beach, offering coffee, cold drinks, and light meals. Sitting in the café enjoying the comfortable cool air while sipping on a slushy feels like being in an oasis in the desert. The café features unbeatable floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase the beautiful beach and expansive lagoon, while also providing a distant view of the lush Dawu Mountain.
