Binwan Pier Introduction
With a gentle breeze and warm sunshine, when you arrive at the Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area – Bay Park (Sailing Base), you will discover a complete range of sailing boats, kayaks, and speedboats that are rarely seen together. To bring visitors closer to Dapeng Bay, the Dapeng Bay Management Office has made good use of the conditions of the Dapeng Bay lagoon by creating a 200-meter artificial beach at the sailing base. The fine sand comes from the bay's estuary, combined with Dapeng Bay's unique natural environment, which has wind and no waves, making it a favorite spot for domestic sailing enthusiasts. The Dapeng Bay Sailing Series is held annually from April to June, combining sports and tourism, actively promoting water activities in Taiwan, and establishing itself as a representative sailing base in the country. Dapeng Bay is the best place to experience sailing, and more and more tourists are learning about sailing experiences here. To cool off on the hot beach, a sailing café is also set up next to the beach, offering coffee, cold drinks, and light meals. Sitting in the café with comfortable air conditioning, ordering a smoothie feels like enjoying an oasis in the desert, while admiring the beautiful beach and the vast lagoon from the floor-to-ceiling windows, with a distant view of the lush DaWu Mountain. Drinking a cup of coffee in this setting is a great place to spend a leisurely afternoon. The water activities in Dapeng Bay are becoming more diverse; if you are interested in learning windsurfing, the sailing base also provides teaching services with dedicated coaches and complete equipment. Do not miss the chance to experience water activities such as windsurfing and kayaking, and you can even ride on a rare heavy sailing ship, fully enjoying the pleasure of sailing on the sea.
