Right Bank Wetlands Introduction
The Right Bank Wetland is located at the southern end of Dapeng Bay, on the eastern side of Linbian Dapai, covering an area of approximately 8 hectares. It is planned as an artificial wetland system divided into two areas to treat wastewater from the Datun New Branch, Datun New Gao District, and Nanpu Pitan New Branch drainage ditches. On sunny days, it purifies water quality, while during heavy rain, it functions to intercept and retain floodwaters. The wetland also aims to restore wetland ecology to enhance biodiversity and natural landscapes, thereby increasing ecotourism value. It is a comprehensive artificial wetland that integrates water purification, habitat for wildlife, scenic beauty, and flood retention functions. The wetland is home to bird species such as the Great Egret, Intermediate Egret, Cattle Egret, Pacific Golden Plover, and the Curlew Sandpiper.
