Right Bank Wetland Introduction
The Right Bank Wetland is located at the southern end of Dapeng Bay, on the east side of Linbian River. It covers an area of approximately 8 hectares and is designed as an artificial wetland system divided into two areas. This wetland manages wastewater from drainage channels such as the Datan New Branch, Datan New Heights, and the Nanpu Datan New Sub-branch by purifying water quality on sunny days and providing flood control during heavy rainfall. It also aims to restore the wetland ecosystem to enhance biodiversity and natural scenery, thereby increasing the value of ecotourism. It integrates functions of water quality purification, wildlife habitat, landscape, and flood retention in a comprehensive artificial wetland. Bird species observed in the wetland include Great Egret, Intermediate Egret, Cattle Egret, Kentish Plover, and Curlew Sandpiper.
