Yingxia Bridge Pavilion Introduction
The Dapeng Bay Bicycle Main Route System turns into the Left Bank Wetland Park at the 2k+500 mark, necessitating the construction of a dedicated bridge for bicycles and pedestrians to cross the Linbian Drain. Taking into account the intense heat of southern Taiwan, the bridge features a pavilion-style double-slanted roof with translucent materials and V-shaped wooden louvers, which not only reduce disturbances to the surrounding wildlife but also provide shade from the sun and shelter from the rain, as well as a space for birdwatching. The pavilion spans 35 meters and is designed as a long corridor-like structure that crosses over the bridge, which visitors refer to as the "Bridge Pavilion." The design of the Bridge Pavilion connects the flow of bicycles and pedestrians and serves as an important hub for eco-tourism in Dapeng Bay. The bridge is constructed from steel and wood, and its design concept is inspired by "The Bridge of Madison County," hoping for a beautiful encounter between visitors and the ecological environment of Dapeng Bay. From a distance, the Bridge Pavilion resembles a wooden boat gliding between the blue skies and green forests along the water's edge. Visitors can briefly stop at the Bridge Pavilion to enjoy a moment of tranquility and elegance; feeling the light streaming down from the canopy, experiencing the gentle breeze, breathing in harmony with nature, pulsing with the earth, and soaring alongside migratory birds on this ecological journey.
