Yingxia Bridge Pavilion Introduction
The Dapeng Bay Cycling Main Route System diverts into the Left Bank Wetland Park at the 2k+500 point, necessitating the construction of a dedicated bridge for both cyclists and pedestrians to cross the Linbian Drainage Canal. Considering the hot climate of Southern Taiwan, the bridge features a pavilion-style roof with a double slant that allows sunlight to filter through. The V-shaped wooden louvered corridors not only minimize disturbance to nearby wildlife but also provide shade from the sun and a place for birdwatching. The pavilion spans 35 meters and is designed as a long corridor over the bridge, which visitors affectionately call the "Bridge Pavilion." The design of the pavilion facilitates the connection between cycling and pedestrian pathways and serves as an important hub for eco-tourism in Dapeng Bay. The bridge structure is constructed from steel and wood, with its design inspiration drawn from the imagery of "The Bridge at Madison County." It aims to create a beautiful encounter between visitors and the ecological environment of Dapeng Bay. When viewed from a distance, the pavilion resembles a wooden boat sailing through the waters amidst the blue sky and green forest. Visitors who arrive here can take a brief pause at the pavilion, enjoying a moment of tranquility and elegance free from conflict; they can feel the gentle breeze as sunlight streams down from the pavilion's canopy, breathing in harmony with nature, pulsating with the earth, and soaring alongside migratory birds on this ecological journey.
