Yingxia Bridge Pavilion Introduction
The Dapeng Bay Bicycle Main Route System turns into the Left Bank Wetland Park at 2k+500. To cross the Linbian Dapai, a dedicated bridge for bicycles and pedestrians has been built. Considering the hot climate of southern Taiwan, a pavilion-style dual sloped transparent roof and V-shaped wooden louvers are designed on the bridge. This design not only reduces interference to surrounding wildlife but also provides shade from the sun and rain and serves as a bird-watching spot. The pavilion measures 35 meters in length and, due to its long corridor-like shape spanning the bridge, is referred to by visitors as the "Bridge Pavilion." The design of the Bridge Pavilion connects the flow of bicycles and pedestrians and serves as an important distribution point for ecological tourism in Dapeng Bay. The bridge is constructed with steel and wood structures, inspired by the imagery of "The Bridge of Madison County," hoping to create a beautiful encounter between visitors and the ecological environment of Dapeng Bay. From a distance, the Bridge Pavilion resembles a wooden boat sailing through the blue sky and green forests along the waterfront. Visitors can make a brief stop at the pavilion to enjoy a moment of tranquility and elegance, where light flows down from the roof of the pavilion, allowing them to feel the gentle breeze and experience a journey of ecology that breathes in harmony with nature, pulsates with the earth, and soars alongside migratory birds.
