Yingxia Bridge Pavilion Introduction
The Dapeng Bay Bicycle Main Route System transitions into the Left Bank Wetland Park at the 2k+500 point, necessitating the construction of a dedicated bridge for bicycles and pedestrians to cross the Linbian Drain. Considering the hot climate of southern Taiwan, the design features a pavilion-style dual-sloped translucent roof and a V-shaped wooden louver corridor, reducing interference with surrounding wildlife while providing shade from the sun and rain, as well as a birdwatching spot. The pavilion spans 35 meters and is styled like a long corridor bridge, affectionately referred to by visitors as the "Bridge Pavilion." The design connects bicycle and pedestrian routes and serves as an important hub for ecotourism in Dapeng Bay. The bridge structure is built with steel and wood, inspired by the imagery of "The Bridge of Madison County," aiming to create a beautiful encounter between visitors and the ecological environment of Dapeng Bay. From a distance, the pavilion resembles a wooden boat navigating through the blue sky and lush greenery by the water's edge. Visitors can briefly pause at the pavilion, enjoying a moment of peacefulness and elegance; they can feel the gentle breeze as light streams down from the pavilion's roof, breathing together with nature, pulsing with the earth, and soaring with migratory birds on an ecological journey.
