Pengcun Wetland Introduction
Pengcun Wetland covers an area of approximately 10 hectares and is located at the border between Linbian Township and Donggang Township. Originally a military site, the vicinity includes unnamed drainage ditches on the eastern side of Datang Village (for external wastewater interception), and two main drainage lines, Nanpu Pond Branch and Haifeng Pond Branch. This wetland primarily channels drainage from the eastern community of Datang Village, Nanpu Pond Branch, and Haifeng Pond Branch into the wetland for natural purification to reduce pollution before discharging into Dapeng Bay Lagoon. The wetland design mainly focuses on surface flow, using both deep and shallow ponds to create diverse habitat spaces. To enhance treatment efficiency, a subsurface flow wetland system is installed in the latter section of the wetland's settling pond, aiding in the removal of most pollutants from the water. After inflow, the water undergoes pre-treatment in a settling pond and a media bed, followed by a series of surface flow wetlands before reaching the outflow point. The preliminary site configuration is shown in the diagram.
