Peng Village Wetland is located at the boundary between Donggang Township and Linbian Township in Pingtung. It was previously used as a military camp and has not been disturbed by human activities for many years, preserving its original and tranquil natural landscape. The Penghu National Scenic Area Administration has planned a waterfront environment and parking facilities for visitors. They have also invited artist Chen Yuliang from the award-winning art team Yoko to create the water installation art piece "Hand of Creation," adding a sense of tranquil stillness to the overall environment.

Pengcun Wetland Introduction

Peng Village Wetland covers an area of approximately 10 hectares and is located at the boundary between Linbian Township and Donggang Town. Originally used as a military camp, the site is adjacent to the unnamed drainage ditch on the east side of Datianli (for external wastewater interception), as well as the Nanpu Pond and Haifeng Pond branches. This wetland primarily channels the drainage from the community on the eastern side of Datianli, the Nanpu Pond branch, and the Haifeng Pond branch into the Peng Village Wetland, where it utilizes natural purification functions to reduce pollution levels before discharging into the Dapeng Bay lagoon. The wetland design focuses mainly on surface flow and creates diverse habitat spaces through deep and shallow ponds. To enhance treatment efficiency, a subsurface flow wetland system was added in the later stages of the wetland sedimentation pond to help remove most pollutants from the water. After inflow, the water first undergoes pre-treatment through sedimentation ponds and media beds, then enters a series of surface flow wetlands before reaching the outlet. The preliminary layout of the site is shown in the diagram.
