Xiyuan Salt Field Introduction
Located in Jinsha Township, the Xiyuan Salt Field allows visitors to understand the nearly 700-year history of the salt production industry in Kinmen. The site features informative displays that showcase the uniqueness of Kinmen's salt industry and the role of salt in the daily lives of Kinmen residents. Additionally, there are two important monuments in the park: the "Qingwuzhou Salt Field Ambassador Han Cong Contribution Monument" and the "Yongan Bridge Monument," which witness the development of Kinmen's salt industry and the significant salt production status of Xiyuan. The Xiyuan Salt Field Cultural Museum has transformed the old buildings into their current appearance while preserving the historical salt drying area, allowing visitors to appreciate the beautiful scenery of the salt fields and take unique photos! Although the peak of salt production is not as it once was, it now showcases its past glory through tourism.
