Si Yin Salt Field Introduction
The Xiyuan Salt Field, located in Jinsan Township, leads visitors to understand the nearly 700-year history of the salt production industry in Kinmen. The site features informative displays that showcase the uniqueness of Kinmen's salt industry and the role of salt in the daily lives of Kinmen residents. Additionally, there are two important monuments within the area: the "Han Cong Contribution Monument of Qinguzhou Salt Field" and the "Yong'an Bridge Monument," which witness the development of Kinmen's salt industry and the important salt production status of Xiyuan. The Xiyuan Salt Field Cultural Museum has transformed the old building cluster into its current form, preserving the salt-drying fields of the past, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the salt fields and take unique photographs! Although the peak of the salt production industry is not as it once was, it is now showcased through tourism, reflecting its past glory.
