Gu Gang Lou Introduction
Gugang Pavilion was built in 1964, designed by Mr. Chuang Wu-nan, a painter from Tamsui, temple restoration expert, and antique collector. Strolling along the shores of Gugang Lake is very tranquil and pleasant. Climbing to the top of Gugang Pavilion offers a view of the lake, sparkling under clear skies—a beautiful scene of lake and mountain. Outside Gugang Pavilion, there is a garden area where the famous bird of Kinmen, the Eurasian Hoopoe, can often be seen foraging on the lawn. The surrounding area of the lake is also a gathering place for various waterfowl.
