Due to work, I had the opportunity to get to know Faki (Uncle) and Fayi (Auntie) from the Taitung Taiyuan Dulan tribe. These days, I have been following them through the fields, preparing the land, transplanting seedlings, fertilizing, and harvesting. In the rhythm of spring plowing, summer weeding, autumn harvesting, and winter storage, I experienced the daily life of small farmers. In each small community, agriculture is the main livelihood. Despite facing challenges such as youth out-migration and unfair trading practices by intermediaries, they continuously pour all their efforts into their work. Observing Faki and Fayi's attachment to the land and their dedication to farming made me start to think about "what can be done for these friendly small farmers..." "When we begin to do something for the environment, the land will start to rejuvenate!" We hope to build a bridge of trust between local small farmers who adhere to natural cultivation and consumers.
