Due to work, I had the opportunity to meet Faki (uncle) and Fayi (aunt) from the Taiyuan Dulan community in Taitung. During these days spent with them in the fields, I have experienced the daily lives of small farmers—plowing the land, transplanting rice, fertilizing, and harvesting—in the rhythm of spring plowing, summer weeding, autumn harvesting, and winter storage. In each small community, agriculture is the main livelihood. Even in the face of youth migration and unfair trading by middlemen, they still work diligently, pouring all their efforts into it. Witnessing Faki and Fayi's attachment to the land and their dedication to farming made me start thinking about "what can we do for these friendly small farmers..." "When we start to do something for the environment, the land will begin to revive!" We hope to build a trust bridge between local small farmers who insist on natural cultivation and consumers, where the relationship is not just a transaction, but an exchange, helping the land through friendly interaction.
