Through work-related opportunities, I got to know Faki (Uncle) and Fayi (Aunt) from the Taitung Taiyuan Dulan tribe. During these days, I accompanied them in the fields, preparing the soil, transplanting seedlings, fertilizing, and harvesting. I experienced the daily life of small farmers in the rhythm of spring plowing, summer weeding, autumn harvesting, and winter storage. In each small tribe, agriculture is the primary livelihood. Despite facing issues such as the out-migration of youth and unfair dealings by middlemen, they still diligently pour all their energy into their work. Watching Faki and Fayi's affection for the land and their commitment to farming made me start thinking about "what I could do for these friendly small farmers..." "When we begin to do something for the environment, the land will begin to revive!" We hope to build a bridge of trust between local small farmers who insist on natural farming and consumers.
