Here, you can find seasonal agricultural products, handmade items, and specialty products that are produced in an environmentally friendly way. We look forward to enjoying local food and using local resources together, cherishing our land. “It all started with a simple wish to help local farmers with their economic issues...” Through my work, I had the opportunity to meet Faki (Uncle) and Fayi (Auntie) from the Taiyuan Dulan Tribal area in Taitung. During these days spent with them in the fields, preparing the land, transplanting seedlings, fertilizing, and harvesting, I felt the daily life of small farmers through the rhythms of spring plowing, summer weeding, autumn harvest, and winter storage. In many small communities, agriculture serves as the main livelihood. Despite facing issues like youth migration and unfair trading situations with intermediaries, they still diligently devote their efforts. Witnessing the emotions Faki and Fayi have for the land and their persistence in farming made me start thinking about “what we can do for these friendly small farmers…” “When we start to do something for the environment, the land will begin to revive!” We hope to build a bridge of trust between local small farmers who insist on natural cultivation and consumers, where the relationship is not just a transaction but an exchange, helping to nurture the land through friendly interactions.
