Since officially opening on June 24, 1998, Donghe Buns has undergone several technical improvements and operated with dedication to create nostalgic and warm memories beneath the old banyan tree. However, due to the realignment of provincial roads, our hard-earned reputation has been unkindly and disrespectfully utilized, and the complex ownership issues of the old building have continuously eroded the precious achievements gained through hard work. Nevertheless, we remain undeterred. We invested heavily in purchasing land and constructing a new site, and after more than a year of efforts, on the afternoon of December 31, 2005, we concluded the operations of the old building, and the next day, on New Year's Day, the new location successfully opened. Naturally, in the rush during busy business hours, we did not send invitation cards nor advertisements, and many good friends and old customers were not notified; we apologize for that. We would like to express our gratitude to all those who participated in the construction of the new site, creating a beautiful and eye-catching new home that has become a new landmark for Donghe Buns; to our friends who assisted during the relocation process; to the United Daily News and China Times for their friendly coverage; and especially to all our dedicated staff who have made this bun shop their home. Thank you!
