Yin Po Pudding was established in 1939, when the founder, Wu Lian-Chun, learned the art of pudding making from a Japanese master and introduced it as a small snack in his tea house. It has been a companion to the people of Tainan for over seventy years and is a shared memory for many Tainan residents, making it the first dedicated pudding shop in Tainan. Yin Po Pudding boasts a creamy texture, with the handmade baked pudding’s air pockets infused with slightly bitter yet sweet and aromatic caramel, blending with the rich fragrance of eggs to create a uniquely memorable taste, representing the most authentic flavor of tradition.
