Chiayi Foods

Step into the fairy tale world of the Six Little Pigs. The story of the Three Little Pigs has transformed into the Six Little Pigs hidden within the alleys of Cultural Road at "Aimu Village." Led by these characters, visitors experience a renewed fairy tale of Aimu Village, discovering the beautiful world of cypress wood. Aimu Village originated from Shunyi Wood Industry, which has a history of half a century in Chiayi. When it was passed down to the second generation, the couple Yan Wei-Te and his wife aimed to explore the potential of wood development, continuously communicating with the elder members of the family. From initial skepticism and misunderstanding to eventual recognition and affirmation, it took three long years for Aimu Village to come to fruition. The hope is to use this space to help more people understand the applications of wood, appreciate the mysteries of trees in nature, and learn about the development of forestry. The greater intention is not only to create a pathway for forestry but also to preserve visitors' memories of wood. Driven by this original intent, all aspects of interior decoration, copywriting, and space design were crafted by the couple without external help. They even specially planned an interactive play area and DIY woodcraft experiences, hoping to leave joyful memories for both children and adults and achieve the goal of education through entertainment. While having fun, don't miss trying their signature dishes—the Cypress Egg and Fruit Popsicle. The Cypress Egg is different from regular tea eggs; it features a secret herbal recipe and is cooked with cypress wood, resulting in a healthy and delicious treat with a subtle cypress aroma lingering in the mouth. The fruit popsicles have very simple ingredients—only milk and fruit. The owner insists on not adding emulsifiers or other additives, ensuring that visitors can enjoy them with peace of mind while retaining the original taste of the fruit. Although Aimu Village has just emerged, it continuously strives for improvement. In just five years of operation, the number of visitors has been steadily increasing, and there are even plans for adult craft experience classes in the future. With such a dedicated operation, it is believed that Aimu Village will continue to surprise us in the days to come. Recommended dishes: Cypress Egg, Fruit Popsicle, Dorayaki Ice Cream, Winter Melon Tea.
