Aimu Village Leisure and Tourism Factory Introduction
Step into the fairy tale world of "Six Little Pigs," where the classic story of the Three Little Pigs is transformed into a modern setting hidden within the alleys of Wenhua Road at "Aimu Village." Led by these charming pigs, visitors are taken on a renewed fairy tale journey to discover the beautiful world of cypress wood. Aimu Village originated from Shunyi Wood Industry, which has a history of over half a century in Chiayi. Under the stewardship of the second-generation couple, Yan Weide and his wife, efforts to continue the development of wood have persevered through ongoing communication with the elder family members. From the beginning, facing skepticism and misunderstanding, it took a full three years to finally birth Aimu Village, gaining recognition and affirmation along the way. The hope is to use this space to help more people understand the various applications of wood, appreciate the mysteries of trees in nature, and learn about the history of forestry development. The aim is not only to find a way for the forestry industry to thrive but also to preserve the memories visitors have of wood. Guided by this original intention, everything from the interior design, copywriting, to space concepts has been crafted solely by the Yan couple. They have even specially planned interactive game areas and DIY woodcraft experiences, hoping that both children and adults can leave with joyful memories and records of their visit, thereby achieving the goal of educating while entertaining. While enjoying the experience, make sure to try the signature dishes here—Cypress Egg and Fruit Popsicle. The Cypress Egg is unlike a typical tea egg; it not only incorporates a herbal recipe but also uses cypress wood for boiling. It’s healthy and delicious, leaving a subtle cypress aroma lingering on the palate. The fruit popsicle is made from very simple ingredients—just milk and fruit, with the owner insisting on no emulsifiers or additives, ensuring visitors can enjoy them with peace of mind while preserving the most authentic fruit flavors. Although Aimu Village has emerged as a newcomer, it continuously strives for excellence. In just five years since opening, the number of visitors has steadily increased, with plans for adult craft experience workshops in the future. With such dedicated management, it is believed that, given time, Aimu Village will continue to surprise and delight us. Recommended dishes: Cypress Egg, Fruit Popsicle, Dorayaki Ice Cream, Winter Melon Tea.
