Mi Taimu Sister Seafood Restaurant Introduction
In 1967, the Mi Taimu elder sister and her family arrived in Chenggong Township. Initially, they sold ice to make a living, but later they encountered an elderly Hakka woman who advised them that selling ice only had profits in the summer, and they would need to think hard about other seasons. She then taught them how to make Mi Taimu, and thus the legend of Mi Taimu elder sister began. Later, Mama Liu used a pushcart to sell along the streets, offering not only Mi Taimu but also some side dishes. During a time when a bowl of Mi Taimu sold for one NT dollar, it was said that the highest daily sales record could reach over a thousand dollars. Considering today's standards, earning a thousand dollars a day is already considered good, especially back then when money had greater value. Of course, Mi Taimu is delicious without a doubt, but another reason for the success was that at that time, Chenggong Township only had one restaurant and another noodle stall, leaving people with few choices. Gradually, Mi Taimu elder sister's business took off.
