Matsu Story Museum Introduction

Matsu Story Museum is located at the site of the Matsu Daily Newspaper. To preserve and witness the stories of Matsu's growth, the Matsu Daily Newspaper planned to establish a historical data repository. This involved publishing special editions of old photographs and stories, compiling selected news stories from Matsu, launching an electronic newspaper, and setting up a think tank for the Matsu Daily to be available for public viewing and downloading. In 2005, the Matsu Daily proposed the idea of building a history museum to the central government, which later received funding from the Council for Cultural Affairs, further extending the concept into the "Matsu Story Museum" and enriching the exhibition's content. The museum not only displays artifacts and photographs from Matsu during the wartime governance period, allowing visitors to step into the historical context and experience life in Matsu during wartime, but also utilizes existing archival materials for a comprehensive presentation. The surrounding spaces and venues are fully utilized, creating rich and dynamic content, offering tourists a different experiential value.
