Matsu Story Museum Introduction

The Matsu Story Museum is located within the premises of the Matsu Daily News, aimed at preserving and witnessing the stories of Matsu's growth. The Matsu Daily News has systematically established an archive of historical materials, undertaking projects such as publishing special editions of old photographs and stories from Matsu, compiling selections of news stories from Matsu, launching an electronic newsletter, and setting up a think tank for the Matsu Daily News, which is available for public viewing and download. In 2005, the Matsu Daily News proposed the idea of building a historical museum to the central government, which later received funding from the Council for Cultural Affairs, extending the concept of the historical museum into the "Matsu Story Museum," enriching the exhibition's content. The museum not only showcases artifacts and photographs from the combat administrative period of Matsu, allowing visitors to step into the historical context and experience life in Matsu during wartime, but it also utilizes existing archival materials for a comprehensive presentation, making full use of the surrounding space and facilities to provide visitors with a rich and vibrant experience.
