Matsu Story Museum Introduction
Matsu Story Museum is located at the site of the Matsu Daily News. To preserve and witness the stories of Matsu's growth, the Matsu Daily News plans to establish a historical data repository, including the publication of special issues on old photographs from Matsu, collections of news stories from Matsu, the establishment of the Matsu e-newspaper, and the creation of a think tank for the Matsu Daily News for public viewing and downloading. In 2005, the Matsu Daily News proposed the concept of building a history museum to the central government and later received funding from the National Cultural and Arts Foundation, extending the idea of the history museum into the "Matsu Story Museum," enriching the content of the exhibition. The museum displays artifacts and photographs from the wartime governmental period in Matsu, allowing visitors to step into historical time and experience the living conditions of Matsu during the wartime, as well as to feel the atmosphere of being on the front lines under the confrontation between the two sides. It also makes full use of the existing collected materials, surrounding spaces, and venues to provide rich and lively content, offering tourists a different value of experience.
