Indian Head Rock Introduction
The beauty sculpted by nature can be seen along the coastal mountain ridge of the Dahant Stronghold. Due to long-term erosion from waves and wind, there is a silhouette resembling the side profile of an Indian head lying at the edge of the sea. Some say it resembles a black gorilla or a great ape's head. If you walk to the entrance of the Beihai Tunnel and look to the right, the entire slope can be compared to a lying crocodile, with a lifelike shape that amazes visitors, fully satisfying their imagination. The Indian Head Rock, Dahant Stronghold, and Beihai Tunnel are located close together and are near the Matsu Visitor Center. If visiting Ren’ai Village in Nangan, it’s a good idea to plan a route to explore multiple attractions, enjoying the breathtaking scenery and the sound of waves while taking in the natural wonders and military landscapes. Note: The Indian Head Rock is located directly above the Dahant Stronghold and can be admired from the right-side viewing platform facing the Beihai Tunnel.
