Indian Head Rock Introduction
The stunning scenery sculpted by nature can be seen from the ridge of the Dahan outpost along the coastal mountainous terrain. Due to the long-term erosion of the rocks on the coastline by waves and wind, there is a rock formation resembling the side profile of an Indian's head lying against the horizon, while some people say it looks like a black gorilla's head; if you look to the right from the entrance of the Beihai Tunnel, the entire slope is also likened to a crocodile lying down, with a remarkably lifelike shape that amazes visitors, fully satisfying their imaginations. Indian Head Rock, Dahan Outpost, and Beihai Tunnel are located close to each other and are near the Matsu Visitor Center. If you visit Ren'ai Village in Nangan, it is recommended to plan a route to explore multiple attractions, enjoying the magnificent scenery accompanied by the sound of crashing waves, and marvel at the natural wonders and military landscapes. Note: Indian Head Rock is located directly above the Dahan Outpost and can be enjoyed from the observation deck on the right side facing the Beihai Tunnel.
