Indian Head Rock Introduction
The beautiful scenery sculpted by nature can be seen by looking along the mountain ridges near the coastal site of Dahankeng. Due to long-term erosion from the waves and wind, there is a rock formation resembling the side profile of a Native American's head, lying at the coastline. Some say it looks like a black gorilla's head. If you walk to the entrance of the North Sea Tunnel and look to the right, the entire slope can also be compared to a crocodile lying down, its shape remarkably lifelike, sparking wonder and fully satisfying everyone's imagination. The Native American Head Rock, Dahankeng, and North Sea Tunnel are all located near each other and close to the Matsu Tourist Center. If you visit Ren'ai Village in Matsu, it is recommended to plan a route to explore multiple attractions. Amidst the grand scenery and the sound of waves, you can enjoy the natural wonders and military landscapes. Note: The Native American Head Rock is located directly above Dahankeng and can be admired from the viewpoint on the right side of the North Sea Tunnel.
