Indian Head Rock Introduction
The stunning scenery sculpted by nature can be observed along the coastal ridges of Dahan Fortress. Due to years of erosion by ocean waves and wind, there is a rock formation that resembles the side profile of an Indian's head lying along the coastline, while others liken it to a black rhinoceros or a gorilla's head. If you look to the right when you reach the entrance of the Beihai Tunnel, some also compare the entire slope to a lying crocodile, with a remarkably vivid shape that sparks imagination. The Indian Head Rock, Dahan Fortress, and Beihai Tunnel are located close to each other and near the Matsu Visitor Center. If you visit Ren’ai Village in Nangan, it is recommended to plan a route to explore multiple attractions, enjoying the breathtaking scenery and the sound of waves while taking in the natural wonders and military landscapes. Note: The Indian Head Rock is located directly above Dahan Fortress and can be appreciated from the viewing platform to the right of Beihai Tunnel.
