Indian Head Rock Introduction
The beautiful landscapes sculpted by nature can be seen along the mountainous ridges near Dahan Lookout by the sea. Due to long-term erosion from waves and wind on the coastal cliffs, there is a rock formation resembling the side profile of an Indian chief, lying at the shoreline. Some say it looks like a black diamond or a gorilla's head. If you proceed to the entrance of the Beihai Tunnel and look to the right, some people compare the entire slope to a reclining crocodile, with a remarkably lifelike shape that amazes visitors and satisfies their imaginations. The Indian Chief Rock, Dahan Lookout, and Beihai Tunnel attractions are located close to each other, near the Matsu Visitor Center on Nangan Island. If you visit Ren'ai Village on Nangan Island, it is recommended to plan a route to explore multiple attractions, where you can enjoy the grand scenery and the sound of the waves while taking in the natural wonders and military landscapes. Note: The Indian Chief Rock is located directly above Dahan Lookout and can be admired from the viewing platform on the right side facing the Beihai Tunnel.
