After the cessation of wartime governance, the Matsu National Scenic Area Administration was officially established on November 26, 1999, responsible for the planning, construction, and management of the scenic area. Upon arrival at the Nan Gang Visitor Center, a statue of flying seagulls decorates the grassy slope nearby, complemented by the visitor center’s architectural design modeled after Eastern Fujian stone houses, the unique coastal formations, and the sound of waves crashing, creating a picturesque scene reminiscent of a paradise; the facilities inside the Nan Gang Visitor Center are comprehensive and modern, offering services such as viewing informational videos, tourism consultations, pamphlet requests, and it also includes a souvenir shop, making it the best resting spot for visitors to Matsu's Nan Gang!
