Recreating the coastal fishing village charm, Ren'ai Village, a small community in Nangan, formerly known as “Tieban,” is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the sea on one side. During low tide, large areas of sandy concrete appear along the shore, shimmering under the sun like a giant iron plate, which led to its original name. Later, it was renamed Ren'ai Village. It used to be the site of a large vegetable market and the county government, thriving for a time, but when the political and economic center shifted to Shansong Village, Ren'ai Village returned to its quiet state. The village is dotted with large Fujian-style stone houses. In recent years, with planning from the government and dedicated individuals, the business district's appearance has been revitalized, incorporating installation art such as old stone houses blended with camouflage themes, large historical photographs displayed outdoors, and replica traditional archways. Everywhere you look, there is evidence of residents’ commitment to preserving and enhancing the community, bringing Ren'ai Village back to life. Under the attentive care of the villagers, some complete architectural structures of the village have been maintained. Walking through Ren'ai Village, the beautiful scenery created by the fusion of modern buildings and old houses is easily accessible. Although the fishing village sights are no longer visible, the passage of time has sculpted a natural tranquility. The mountain features a 360-degree camouflage observation deck, offering views of the Beihai Tunnel sea scenery and the layout of Ren'ai Village.
