Ren'ai Village (Teppanyaki) Introduction
Reproducing the splendor of a seaside fishing village, Ren'ai Village in Nan'gan, formerly known as "Tieban," is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the sea on one side. During low tide, large areas of sandy concrete appear along the shore, shining brightly under the sunlight like a giant iron plate, hence the name. Later, it was renamed Ren'ai Village. It was once a large vegetable market and the location of the county government, thriving for a time, but after the political and economic center shifted to Shanlong Village, Ren'ai Village returned to tranquility. The village is home to many Min Dong-style stone houses. In recent years, with planning from the government and concerned individuals, the commercial environment has been reshaped, and installation art has been added, such as integrating old stone houses into military camouflage style, displaying large old photos outdoors, and recreating traditional archways. These efforts are a testament to the residents' dedication to preserving and revitalizing the village, bringing Ren'ai Village back to life. With the thoughtful care of the villagers, some complete buildings have been preserved, creating a beautiful scene where modern architecture intertwines with old houses. Though the fishing village landscape is no longer present, it possesses a natural charm sculpted by the passage of time.
