The Tonghua Township Café, located next to the second parking lot of the Tonghua Trail, is a highly recommended rest stop for hikers and flower viewers. The café owner, Mama Chong, built this café on her own land over four years ago. In May, the outdoor coffee seating provides a leisurely experience as the Tonghua flowers gently fall from the trees, creating a poetic atmosphere. Every angle in the café offers a view of the Tonghua flowers painting the mountain tops white, allowing guests to enjoy the stunning visual aesthetics. Mama Chong's culinary skills are also quite impressive. One of the signature dishes, the "Braised Pork Knuckle Set," is made with onions and pork shank, slow-cooked for an hour, resulting in tender texture and an aromatic flavor that melts in your mouth, making it the most popular dish in the café. The "Teriyaki Pork Chop" is also well-seasoned, balancing a fragrant sweetness that is unforgettable. The dishes in Tonghua Township showcase a fusion of Chinese and Western flavors; Mama Chong excels in preparing the well-known Doi-Mien dish "Jiao Ma Chicken," served alongside moon shrimp cakes, capturing the rich exotic culinary style of the Tonghua Trail.
