The Tonghua Township Café next to the second parking lot of the Tonghua Flower Trail is a highly recommended stop for hikers and flower-viewing tourists. The café is owned by a lady named Mom Chong, who built it on her own land over four years ago. The outdoor café platform offers a relaxing space where, in May, the white blossoms drift gently down from the trees, creating a serene and poetic ambiance. Every angle inside the restaurant provides a stunning view of the mountains covered in white flowers, allowing visitors to enjoy the visual aesthetics and its impact fully. Mom Chong's culinary skills are exceptional, with the signature dish being the "Braised Pork Knuckle Set," which is simmered slowly with onions and pork knuckle for an hour, resulting in a tender texture and an aromatic, melt-in-your-mouth flavor that is the most popular dish in the café. Additionally, the Teriyaki Pork Chop is seasoned just right, with a memorable light sweetness. The dishes at Tonghua Township combine Chinese and Western styles, and Mom Chong also excels at making the famous dish from the Yunnan-Myanmar region, "Jiao Ma Chicken," served alongside moon shrimp cakes, adding a touch of exotic culinary flair to the Tonghua Flower Trail.
