Tung Flower Township Cafe Introduction
Located next to the second parking lot of the Tung Flower Trail, the Tung Flower Village Café is highly recommended by hikers and flower watchers as a perfect resting point. The café owner, Mama Chong, built this café on her own land over four years ago. The outdoor coffee seating area provides a leisurely and poetic atmosphere in May when the tung flowers drift down with the breeze. Every angle inside the café offers stunning views of the white-tipped mountains adorned with tung flowers, delivering a visual aesthetic that is breathtaking. Mama Chong’s culinary skills are also remarkable. One of her signature dishes, the "Braised Pork Knuckle Set," is cooked slowly for an hour with onions and pork shank, resulting in tender texture and mouth-watering flavor—this is the top favorite dish in the café. Additionally, the "Teriyaki Pork Chop" has a delightful taste that is slightly sweet and unforgettable. The menu at Tung Flower Village features a fusion of Chinese and Western cuisine, with the well-known dish from the Yunnan-Myanmar region, "Jiao Ma Chicken," expertly crafted by Mama Chong, paired beautifully with moon shrimp pancakes, presenting a rich exotic culinary experience along the Tung Flower Trail. Besides the food, the café is also famous for its coffee and waffles, which come in various flavors such as cranberry, chocolate, and maple syrup. In the afternoon, enjoy a cup of latte, Blue Mountain coffee, cappuccino, or brew a pot of old man tea while sitting under the trees, relishing the gentle breeze and immersing in the atmosphere of falling tung flowers—truly a blissful experience.
