Taipei Digital Arts Center Introduction
The Taipei Digital Art Center (DAC) was established in 2009, commissioned by the Taipei City Government's Department of Cultural Affairs to be operated by the Digital Art Foundation. Initially, the center's purpose was to serve as a research and experimentation hub for digital art. Since 2018, the operation has been taken over by the Taiwan Visual Arts Association (referred to as VAA), which promotes performance events and strengthens local connections with its rich artistic resources and practical experience. DAC provides artists with work and exhibition spaces and connects them with technical professionals to facilitate the realization and presentation of outstanding digital art projects. Aiming to promote digital art, DAC hosts six performance events and the Taipei Digital Art Festival annually, planning over 25 forums and workshops. It is dedicated to expanding resources for digital art research and creation and promoting the development of digital art in diverse forms, serving as an important international exchange platform for digital art in Taiwan.
