Sun Moon Lake Old Tea Factory Introduction
Five colleagues have long stood watch over an old factory, living a tranquil and serene life away from the hustle and bustle of the world in the mountains. Occasionally, the sound of machines starting up brings back memories of the past when two to three hundred people worked day and night to produce tea for export. The old tea garden, which has witnessed the rise and fall of black tea culture, seems to gently await a new force to revive it, calling out to us as children of the earth, tapping into that diamond-like driving force deep within our souls—reflecting on life and making choices, cherishing and being grateful for all things, and embracing the faith and passion of life. This calling has brought together a group of people who have decided to refresh the old tea factory, live a different kind of life, and share their emotions with others. Guided tours are available by telephone reservation, only in the morning (reservations must be made three days in advance) with a minimum of 35 people on weekdays and 45 people on weekends to form a group.
