Guanyin Waterfall Scenic Area Introduction
During winter, the sunset occurs earlier. To ensure the safety of visitors, operating hours will be adjusted from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM from December 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. Within the boundaries of Wenfeng Village, there is the famous Guanyin Waterfall Scenic Area, known for its beautiful scenery. The Guanyin Waterfall Scenic Area is surrounded by majestic mountains, with steep cliffs on both sides of the gorge and a total of eight waterfalls. Some of these waterfalls cascade straight down from the mountain peaks, sparkling like silver and are grand and magnificent, resembling a stampede of horses. Others flow delicately like silk, creating unique sights as they hang in the forested gorges. Due to severe damage to the steps leading to the third waterfall, starting from August 9, 2025, only the second waterfall, Plucking Rain Waterfall, will be open for access. In response to the current situation, the ticket price has been temporarily adjusted as follows: General public/foreign visitors are exempt from the ticket fee; individuals aged 65 and over; children under 12; holders of the Volunteer Honor Card (showing the volunteer service honor card); residents of Chiayi County and City; individuals with disabilities can present their disability certificate along with one necessary companion. *The above-mentioned individuals can show their identification at the entrance to enter in line.
