Located right in front of the "Heart of Shiding" square, Fubao Eatery is an unassuming restaurant that has been operating for over fifty years and is quite popular among locals. It is always packed on weekends and holidays, recognized as a famous old establishment with exceptional culinary skills hidden within its simple menu. Must-try dishes include the signature "Fubao Tofu Three Styles" – fried tofu, tofu soup, and braised tofu. The braised tofu, in particular, is a standout dish that differs from the common method of deep frying before braising; instead, it is slowly cooked with Kikkoman soy sauce over low heat. This results in a tender exterior and a sweet, flavorful interior, showcasing the chef's outstanding cooking skills. While the name "Shiding Tofu" may not be as renowned as "Shenkeng Tofu," it is said that most of the tofu from Shenkeng is actually supplied by Shiding, thus both carry a unique charred aroma.
