HA SOCK Sock Doll Boutique Introduction
In the Shiding Old Street located in Shiding District, New Taipei City, there is a special sock doll specialty store. The large doll shape at the entrance catches the eye, and upon stepping into the playful store, each adorable doll is made from socks. Behind each unique creation is a story, complete with a certificate of authenticity and a birth certificate! The owner, Lin Shufang, was a primary school teacher but later fell in love with sock dolls, leading her to quit her job and dedicate herself to creating these charming figures, injecting youth and vitality into this simple mountain town. Visitors can also engage in a DIY experience to create their own sock doll by choosing their favorite sock design, and under the patient guidance of the teacher, they can sew and complete their doll. It’s surprising to see how everyday items can be transformed into lovable sock dolls, and making it by hand adds even more meaning to the creation.
