Shihding Yi Li Zong Introduction
The popular delicacy from Shiding Old Street, "Shiding Yi Li Zong," was established in 1978 and is a nostalgic traditional meat dumpling shop with over thirty years of history. The name "Yi Li Zong" was chosen because the owner is confident that once customers eat one dumpling, they will feel the healthiness and deliciousness of the dumpling, making them addicted and appreciating the owner's dedication. On holidays, the small shop is often packed with visitors who come specifically for it or pass by. The limited dumplings frequently sell out. Upon entering the store, one can see black-and-white photographs hanging on the wall, along with a saying that goes, "Over thirty years of fine craftsmanship, luck brought us together, we carefully make one dumpling, presenting the local good flavor," which signifies the origin of Yi Li Zong. The main products include dumplings, pudding, beverages, and sauces. The dumplings are characterized as not greasy and easy on the stomach, made with the highest quality ingredients, and have received the National Quality Assurance Gold Medal. Among them, the osmanthus dumpling is particularly special, being a unique creation in Taiwan, developed over several years with whole osmanthus flowers added for flavor, allowing customers to enjoy the fragrance of osmanthus while tasting the dumpling.
