Shihding Matsu Sausage Introduction
The Backyard of Taipei – Shiding District. In the summer of 2004, while struggling to develop various types of sausages, Xu Shihong, the founder of Shiding Matsu Sausage, accidentally knocked over some powdered Matsu spice that he had set aside into the seasoned sausage mixture he was not yet satisfied with. Feeling frustrated but not wanting to waste ingredients, he decided to use the mixture for his family’s dinner. To everyone’s surprise, this accidental move resulted in a unique product with an extraordinary flavor – Matsu Sausage. Its texture is tender yet robust, and it carries a refreshing cooling sensation akin to the delightful taste of ice cream in summer. Matsu Sausage truly is a beautiful mistake! This unexpected turn gave everyone a new concept of healthful sausage, leading to the birth of "Shiding Matsu Sausage."
