Bashawali Tribe Introduction
The exterior walls of the Bashawali Tribe houses are adorned with totems symbolizing the Amis people's dances, making them easily recognizable from Provincial Highway 11, clearly indicating that this is an Amis tribe. At the entrance to Fugang Harbor along Provincial Highway 11, you can see the community center of Bashawali, which is where the tribe holds its Harvest Festival every July. Just north of the Xiaoyeliou Scenic Area, the Jialulan Recreation Area is a great spot to enjoy the ocean view. Covering nearly three hectares, the recreation area was originally filled with waste soil from the construction of the Zhihang Base and has been planned into a large green space, featuring numerous driftwood artworks by indigenous artists, creating a natural and artful environment.
