Bashawali Tribe Introduction
The outer walls of the Bashawali tribe's houses are decorated with totems symbolizing the Amis people's dance, making it very recognizable when passing along Route 11. It's easy to identify this as an Amis tribe. At the entrance to the turnoff to Fugang Harbor along Route 11, you can see the tribe's gathering place, where the harvest festival is held every July. Just north of the Xiaoyeliou Scenic Area, the Jialulan Recreation Area is a great place to overlook the sea. Covering nearly three hectares, this recreation area was originally filled with waste soil from the construction of the Zhihang Base, and was eventually planned as a large green space featuring many driftwood artworks by indigenous artists, creating a natural and artistically rich space.
