Boss Guo, who grew up in a fishing village, inherited his keen eye for selecting seafood from generations of family members who were fishermen. With the New Taipei area being famous for duck meat, he, just out of military service that year, eagerly sought to explore the culinary industry, and in the blink of an eye, 27 years have passed. Guo's Duck and Seafood Shop has become one of the must-try old establishments in the New Taipei area under the heartfelt leadership of him and his wife, where many corporate gatherings, family dinners, and weddings have left beautiful memories. Fresh and authentic creative dishes are the biggest characteristics and signature dishes of the restaurant, as the name suggests. According to the boss’s wife, the most popular item in the shop is the fish caught from the Yong'an Fishing Port, recommended to be steamed or pan-fried, with the Hakka-style steamed fish being particularly praised. Regardless of the type of fish, it is placed in a steamer with a special blend of oyster sauce, black bean, and shredded ginger, emphasizing simple cooking to allow customers to savor the pure sweetness of the fresh fish. Other dishes include Fresh Fish Rice Noodle Hot Pot, Signature Duck Meat, Spicy Boiled Beef, Grandmother-style Hakka Pickled Bamboo Shoot Pork, Stir-fried Large Intestines with Ginger, and Braised Pork with Plum.
