Yong An Harbor 50-Year-Old Shop Introduction
Recommended dishes for the 2016 Certified Restaurant of the Year: Signature Three-Cup Squid, Steamed Stonefish with Tree Seeds, Century Egg with Sweet Potato Leaves. From a small noodle stall to one of the well-known restaurants near Yong'an Fishing Port, this 50-year-old establishment run by the owner, Mrs. Zhu, has witnessed the transformation of Xinwu District from past desolation to today's prosperity. As a third-generation operator, she grew up watching her elders diligently prepare meals for customers, which sparked her interest in running a restaurant. Every time she sees customers enjoying their meals and looking satisfied, it not only brings her joy but also enhances her sense of mission. Xinwu's native goose, Osmanthus crab, signature sweet and sour fish, and Hakka crispy tofu are all must-try delicacies. To ensure freshness and quality of the fish caught, many of the catches at this 50-year-old shop come from their own fishing boats, with the old boss being the old captain. After bringing in the catch, the fish are processed at the shop, providing seasonal seafood for customers to choose from. Regarding the future, Mrs. Zhu remarked with a global perspective, "Yong'an Fishing Port is now looking towards the whole world, with many overseas tourists coming in search of us. I am willing to make friends through cooking and share the best and freshest dishes with good friends both at home and abroad." Source: Taoyuan Hakka...
