Yong'an Port 50-Year-Old Shop Introduction
Recommended dishes at the 2016 certified restaurant in the "Seafood Capital": signature three-cup squid, steamed stonefish with tree seeds, and century egg with sweet potato leaves. From a small noodle stall to one of the well-known restaurants near Yong'an Fishing Port, Boss Zhu, who has been running this 50-year-old establishment, has witnessed the transformation of the Xinwu area from its past desolation to today's prosperity. As the third-generation operator, she grew up watching her elders meticulously prepare meals for customers, which gradually sparked her interest in running a restaurant. Every time she sees customers enjoying their meals and looking satisfied, it brings her joy and a sense of mission. Xinwu native goose, osmanthus crabs, signature sweet and sour fish, and Hakka crispy tofu are all must-try dishes. The first-hand catch ensures freshness and quality. What many may not know is that a significant portion of the fish sourced at this 50-year-old establishment comes from their own fishing boats, with the old boss being an experienced captain. The catch is processed in-house upon return to the port, adding seasonal seafood options for customers to choose from. Looking to the future, Boss Zhu speaks with an international perspective: "Yong'an Fishing Port is now looking towards the world, and many overseas tourists come to visit. I am willing to make friends through cuisine, sharing the best and freshest dishes with friends both at home and abroad." Source: Taoyuan Hakka...
