Chimei Café Introduction
The founder of Chi Mei Industrial, Mr. Hsu Wen-Lung, has a passion for art and leisure, which led him to spread the seeds of art through the Chi Mei Group. He established the Chi Mei Museum to collect world-class art pieces that are open for free to the public. To provide visitors with a comfortable resting space, this inspired the establishment of Chi Mei Café. Chi Mei Café is fully invested by Chi Mei Food, a related company of the Chi Mei Group. It combines cultural resources from the Chi Mei Cultural Foundation to embark on a journey of an art and music café, allowing visiting friends to enjoy the aroma of coffee while being greeted by the breeze of Western art. The first Chi Mei Café location, the Museum Store, opened on January 1, 2000. Over the past nine years, Chi Mei Café has expanded from the museum to serve related enterprises, extending its reach to TSMC's No. 6 Factory, the Industrial Technology Research Institute's headquarters, Tong Hsing Electronics, National Chiao Tung University, National Cheng Kung University Chi Mei Building, and the Chi Mei Happiness Living Experience Center (Dream Mall). To date, 14 locations have been established.
