Chimei Cafe Introduction
The founder of Chi Mei Industrial, Mr. Hsu Wen-lung, is passionate about art and leisure, and has led the Chi Mei Group in spreading the seeds of art. He established the Chi Mei Museum, which collects world-class artwork and is open for free visits. In order to provide a comfortable resting space for visitors, this inspired the establishment of Chi Mei Café. It was founded by Chi Mei Group's affiliated company, Chi Mei Foods, which is fully invested in it. Combining cultural resources from the Chi Mei Cultural Foundation, the café embarked on a journey to integrate art, music, and coffee, allowing visiting friends to enjoy the aroma of coffee while being embraced by Western art. The first Chi Mei Café location, the Museum Store, opened on January 1, 2000. Over the nine-year journey since its inception, Chi Mei Café has expanded from the museum to serving affiliated companies and further extended its reach to TSMC's No. 6 plant, Industrial Technology Research Institute, Transcend Optronics, National Chiao Tung University, National Cheng Kung University Chi Mei Building, and Chi Mei Happy Life Experience Center (Dream Mall), with a total of 14 locations established to date.
