Victory Breakfast Introduction
When you are at National Cheng Kung University, don't miss the Shandong scallion pancakes at "Victory Breakfast" located next to the campus. Unlike the typical scallion pancakes that have a thin layer of scallions sprinkled on top, Victory's Shandong scallion pancakes are filled with plenty of fresh scallions inside, baked to a crispy outside. When you take a bite, the scallion aroma fills your mouth. This recipe was learned by the owner, Lin Chang-Hsiung, from a friend in Shandong. Each costs only 15 TWD and has comforted countless NCKU students for decades. Victory Breakfast operates daily from 4 PM to 10 AM the next day. Besides scallion pancakes, they also recommend the pork egg pancakes, which consist of traditional egg pancakes filled with lettuce and pork hamburger patty, making it very tender. Almost everything at Victory Breakfast is delicious.
