Victory Breakfast Introduction
Once at National Cheng Kung University, don't miss "Victory Breakfast" next to the campus, known for its Shandong scallion pancakes. Unlike regular scallion pancakes that have just a sprinkle of scallions on top, Victory's Shandong scallion pancakes are filled with generous amounts of fresh scallions inside, baked to a crispy exterior. Taking a bite fills your mouth with the aroma of scallions. This recipe was learned by the owner, Lin Chang-Hsiung, from a friend in Shandong. Each pancake costs only NT$15 and has been satisfying the appetites of numerous NCKU students for decades. Victory Breakfast operates daily from 4 PM to 10 AM the following morning. In addition to scallion pancakes, the pork egg pancake is also highly recommended – a traditional egg pancake stuffed with lettuce and pork patty, making it wonderfully tender. Almost everything at Victory Breakfast is delicious.
