Pacific Bike Museum Introduction
Starting from July 13, 2021, the Pacific Cycles Co., Ltd. located in Xinwu District, Taoyuan City, will resume operations with online booking and phone appointment systems. Renowned for its unique products, the Birdy bicycle is revered as the king of folding bikes and has captivated the global market for nearly twenty years. The IF MODE has won the prestigious German IF Design Gold Award and the Taiwan Excellence Silver Award, and is currently exhibited at the National Design Museum of America. The streamlined Reach model has won numerous racing championships. The lightweight CarryMe has been seen in dozens of major cities including New York, London, and Paris. The product range of Pacific Cycles is vast and diverse. It includes tricycles designed for rehabilitation for individuals with cerebral palsy, tricycles suitable for entering elevators, cargo bikes, stair-climbing bikes, rowing bikes, and four-wheelers for two riders. They even provide armored tricycles donated by the United Nations for use in Ethiopia's minefields. The company offers a research and development platform for design elites from various countries to create products and startups. Dozens of folding bikes, tricycles, and mountain bikes on the market originate from Pacific Cycles. The Pacific Cycles Museum houses over 200 living bicycles, representing a miniature of contemporary global bicycle technology rather than antique bicycles from a century ago. Every year, thousands of domestic and international visitors come to tour the museum. To properly preserve valuable historical artifacts and fulfill educational and inspirational roles, the museum was established in 2010 at the original office building, coinciding with the company's thirtieth anniversary. It aims to systematically document the development of various products. As a well-known domestic bicycle manufacturer, Pacific Cycles opened the Pacific Cycles Museum in September 2014, marking its 30th anniversary. The museum is not focused on collecting antique bikes but rather showcases a snapshot of contemporary global bicycle technology. In addition to the history of bicycle technology development, it houses many precious bicycle collectibles and replicas. The most popular "experience area" allows visitors to test-ride some of Pacific Cycles' hottest models.
